Living in the Valley since 1992, Kathy and her husband Dennis have raised all three of their kids in the Palmer area. Her favorite thing about living in the Valley is “her glacier”, the Knik Glacier.

A life long Alaskan, Kathy began her career in at KYAK 650-AM in Anchorage at the age of 16. She has been with 100.9 since the beginning and was the one who signed us on the air the very first day.  A fan of the Outlaw Country movement, Kathy’s favorite Classic Country artist is Waylon Jennings.

Her show begins promptly at 6am with Reveille as a tribute to our service men and women leading in to 90 seconds of news for the Valley. Throughout her show you’ll find friendly conversation, “Stop, Go or Slow” to keep you abreast of the commute to work, This Day in Classic Country Music History, The Impossible Question, Lyrics of a Legend and some of the best country music ever recorded.

In addition to being an active community volunteer, Kathy gives back by helping with various non-profits.  Currently, she sits on the board of the United Way Mat-Su and Family Promise Mat-Su.
